The Subscription Cancellation Report provides comprehensive insights into cancellation reasons chosen by customers when canceling their subscription accounts (recurring charges). This detailed reporting tool helps understand why customers are leaving and identify patterns that could improve customer retention strategies.
Step 1: Access the Subscription Cancellation Report
Click Go to E-commerce.
Go to Reports.
Select Cancellation from the Reports dropdown menu.
Step 2: Configure Report Filters
The Subscription Cancellation Report offers comprehensive filtering options to analyze cancellation data from specific business segments:
Date Range Type
Date Created: Search for customers who were created within the specified date range.
Cancel Date: Search for customers who were cancelled within the specified date range.
Next Bill Date: Search for customers whose next recurring charge is within the specified date range.
Last Decline Date: Search for customers whose last declined recurring transaction was within the specified date range.
Additional Filter Options
Processor: Filter by specific payment processors to identify if payment processing issues contribute to cancellations.
Affiliate: Filter by specific affiliates to understand which marketing partners bring customers who are more likely to cancel.
Campaigns: Filter by specific campaigns to analyze cancellations from particular marketing campaigns.
Product: Filter by specific product groups to understand which products have higher cancellation rates.
Processor Groups: Filter by processor categories to analyze broader payment processing trends.
Step 3: Generate the Report
Configure your desired filters (date range type, processors, affiliates, date range, campaigns, product groups, processor groups).
Click Search to generate the Subscription Cancellation Report.
Step 4: Understanding the Visual Charts
Pie Chart
A pie chart titled "Subscription Cancellation Summary" shows the distribution of cancellation reasons as percentages of the total cancellations. Each cancellation reason is represented by a different color, making it easy to identify the most common reasons at a glance.
Bar Chart
A bar chart displays the same data in a different format, showing the actual count of cancellations for each reason. This helps you see the absolute numbers behind the percentages shown in the pie chart.
Step 5: Understanding the Results Table
Below the charts, you'll find a detailed table that provides specific information about each cancellation reason:
Cancel Reason: The specific reason given by customers for canceling their subscription.
Total: The number of customers who provided that specific cancellation reason.
Export and Analysis
The Subscription Cancellation Report includes a download feature that allows you to export your results to CSV format.
