What does it mean when a customer is marked as "test" customer within the e-commerce section?

Marking a customer as a test customer removes them from reporting throughout the e-commerce section and they won't show up in customer search results unless you enable the option to show them. Test customers are manually marked through the customer profile settings and are completely isolated from real business data.

Converting Test Customers to Real Customers

When a test customer should become a real customer:

  1. Go to the test customer's profile through search.

  2. Make sure you're on the Customer Info tab.

  3. Find the Test Customer switch in the General Info section.

  4. Turn off the Test Customer switch — the change is saved automatically.

  1. Go to For Customers > Search.

  2. In the search filters, set the Type filter to Test Customers.
