When testing payment processing in Admoji, you can force a declined transaction by using CVV 999 on a card registered in your account's Test Cards list. This guide explains how to set up a test card and use it to simulate a declined transaction.
Step 1: Add a Test Card to Your Account
Before testing, you need at least one card registered in your account's Test Cards list:
Go to Settings, then click Account Settings.
Navigate to the Test Cards tab.
Click Add New. A drawer opens with three tabs of pre-suggested card numbers: Success, Declines, and Card Types. Select a card from any tab and click Save.
Step 2: Use the Test CVV Values
When placing a transaction with one of your registered test cards, the CVV you enter controls the outcome:
CVV 999 → Transaction is Declined.
Any other CVV → Transaction is Approved.
Step 3: Place the Test Transaction
You can use your test card and CVV 999 in the following ways:
Manual order entry: Go to For Customers, open a customer profile, click New Order, and on the Payment Info step enter your test card number and CVV 999.
API request: Include your test card number and CVV 999 in the
cvvfield of your transaction API request.
