Every Admoji account has exactly one Owner. If the Owner leaves the company or a different person should be in charge of the account, the current Owner can hand ownership over to someone else — either an existing Account Admin or a new person invited by email.
Step 1: Open the Transfer Ownership Window
Go to Settings > Users.
Find the row of the current Owner in the users table.
Click the Transfer ownership icon in the Actions column.
Step 2: Choose Who Receives Ownership
The window opens on two tabs. Pick the one that matches your case:
Existing User
Stay on the Existing User tab.
Open the dropdown and select a user. The list shows the name and email of each candidate.
Click Save. A confirmation appears once the request has been sent.
Invite New User
Open the Invite New User tab.
Type the email address of the person who will receive the account. It cannot belong to someone who is already a user of the account — for them, use the Existing User tab.
Click Save. An invitation to take over ownership is emailed to that address.
Step 3: Track or Cancel a Pending Transfer
While a transfer is waiting to be accepted, opening the same window shows its status instead of the form:
The name and email of the person the transfer was sent to.
A badge with the number of days left before the request expires. Requests expire 7 days after they are sent.
The red Withdraw ownership icon, which cancels the pending transfer.
Click Close to leave the window without changing anything.
Step 4: Accepting the Transfer
The person receiving the account gets an email and, if they already have an Admoji login, a notification in the bell and on the Notifications page. They can accept from the link in the email or from the notification, with Accept Transfer (Accept Invitation if you used the Invite New User tab). Someone new to Admoji accepts from the email invitation and creates their login first.
Once accepted, they become the Owner and you become an Account Admin. If they click Decline instead, the request is cancelled and you can start a new one.
