How to Use the MID Health Report

The MID Health Report gives you a real-time snapshot of each merchant account's (MID) processing volume, declines, projected usage, and chargebacks — all in one view. Use it to monitor MID limits and spot issues before they escalate.

Tip: You can also add the MID Health widget to your Dashboard for an at-a-glance view without opening the full report. See How to Customize your Dashboard to add it.

Step 1: Access the Report

  1. Go to Reports in the main navigation.
  2. Select MID Health.

Step 2: Select a Date

Choose the Year and Month using the two date selectors. The report calculates totals and projections based on the selected month.

Select a Date

Click Search to load the report.

Step 3: Read the Results

The table is organized into grouped columns:

  • Processor MID — the unique identifier of the merchant account.
  • Processor Name — the name assigned to the processor.
  • Max Monthly $ — the maximum monthly processing limit for that MID.
  • Totals → Processed — total amount processed so far this month.
  • Totals → Declines — total amount of declined transactions.
  • Projection → Left — remaining volume available before hitting the monthly limit.
  • Projection → Recurring — projected volume from upcoming recurring charges.
  • Projection → Overlap — projected volume that exceeds the monthly limit.
  • Chargebacks → # — number of chargebacks.
  • Chargebacks → % — chargeback rate as a percentage.
  • Chargebacks → $ — total dollar amount of chargebacks.
  • Action — opens the Chargeback Monitoring view. This icon only appears on Bigdog MIDs.

Step 4: Review Chargeback Monitoring (Bigdog MIDs)

If the MID runs on the Bigdog gateway, a magnifier icon appears in the Action column with the tooltip Chargeback Monitoring. Click it to open the card-brand monitoring status reported by the gateway.

The modal shows one row per month with:

  • Month — the reporting month.

  • Descriptor — the descriptor the monitoring status belongs to.

  • VISA VAMP — your Visa Acquirer Monitoring Program ratio. Values from 10% are highlighted in orange and values from 50% in red.

  • MC EFM — your Mastercard Excessive Fraud Merchant ratio. Values from 0.5% are highlighted in orange and values from 1.5% in red.

Note: A dash (—) means the gateway has not reported a value for that program yet. If monitoring is configured but no status has been returned, a single row with 0% is shown instead.

Step 5: Export

Click the download icon to export the report as a CSV file.
