With PayPal card payments, an order you enter in Add New Order charges the customer's card through one of your PayPal Commerce processors instead of the campaign's card processors. You type the card as usual, choose the PayPal processor, and Admoji charges it once on that processor. The subscription's rebills stay on the same processor.
Step 1: Prepare the PayPal Commerce Processor
The processor shows up in Add New Order only when it is:
A PayPal Commerce processor of your account.
Active and not paused.
Sticky, so the rebills stay on it.
Without Paymend, LTVX or another decline recovery tool attached.
See What is the difference between PayPal Checkout vs Payflow Pro? for the PayPal Commerce credentials.
Step 2: Enter the Order
Go to For Customers > Add New Order, choose Customer Order and the Campaign.
In Payment method, choose PayPal (card).
Pick the PayPal processor. The prices are shown in that processor's currency.
Fill in the customer details, the products and the card information as usual.
Click Charge through PayPal.
The result shows whether the order was approved on the PayPal processor.
PayPal card payments from Add New Order work only for:
A new customer, with no order or saved payment method yet.
A card, not a bank account.
Sale products and processors. If a product or the processor is set to Auth + Capture, change it to Sale or charge the card without PayPal.
An order with an amount to charge.
If one of these is missing, Admoji refuses the order with Nothing was charged. Fix it and submit again.
Step 3: If the PayPal Outcome Is Unknown
If PayPal does not confirm the result, for example after a timeout, Admoji shows PayPal outcome unknown: do not charge this card again yet. The card may have been charged, so:
Click Open Customer # and check the customer's orders.
Check the payment in your PayPal account.
Click I checked: start a new order. Until you do, Add New Order does not let you submit another order.
An order with an unknown PayPal outcome is also skipped by the Decline Runner and cannot be reprocessed, so it is never charged twice by mistake.
Step 4: Test with PayPal's Sandbox
To test, use a PayPal Commerce processor with Test Mode on and a PayPal sandbox card. The customer is created as a test customer. Your CRM test cards never reach PayPal, so they are refused on this payment method.
