It depends on what you change. When a customer buys a recurring product, Admoji saves a copy of its billing settings on that customer's subscription. Editing the product afterwards changes that copy for new customers only. Retry settings work differently: a subscription copies them the first time a rebill declines.
Price, Billing Schedule and Recurring Cycles
These are copied when the subscription is created, so a change on the product applies only to new sales:
The rebill price.
The billing interval and the number of rebills to run.
Every row of the Recurring Cycles Details tab: price, bill delay, shippable, SKU and product name of each cycle.
Existing subscriptions keep billing with the settings they had when they were created. To change them:
One subscription: open the customer, find it in the Recurrings section and click the edit icon (pencil). Edit Recurring Information lets you change the next bill date, the next charge amount, the cycles and the retries of that subscription only. See How to Modify Recurring Charge Amounts and Rebill Dates for Existing Customers.
Many subscriptions: go to Reports > Continuity, select them and click Update Batch to change the amount, next bill date or processor. See How to Use the Continuity Report.
Retry Settings
A subscription copies the product's Retries the first time one of its rebills declines, and keeps using that copy for the rest of its retries. So when you click Save on the Retries tab:
Subscriptions that have never declined pick up the new retry settings automatically.
Subscriptions that already declined keep the retry settings they copied.
To apply the new retry settings to every subscription of the product, including the ones that already declined:
Open the product and go to the Retries tab.
Set up the retry attempts the way you want them.
Click Update Current Retry Rules at the bottom of the tab and confirm. This saves the retry attempts and clears the copy on every subscription of the product, so each one takes the new settings on its next retry.
